MISSION
OLMATIC operates in the field of INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION, where quality and dependability are of primary importance.
Olmatic specializes in design and construction of special machines for component assembly and automatic handling.
Types of machinery produced include: automatic and semiautomatic workstations, revolving tables and palletized assembly lines made with its own standard components and those available on the market.
Commercially available components are supplied by major manufacturers (typically Siemens, Festo and SMC) guaranteeing easy availability in Italy and abroad. Each customer can however express a preference for commercially available products to meet particular needs.
HISTORY
OLMATIC’s history begins in Parabiago in 1977, on the initiative of a former employee of an electrical equipment manufacturer.
OLMATIC’s first machine dates back to 1977 and employed pneumatic logic at first, later replaced by a Siemens "C1" cabled logic system.
OLMATIC has been designing and producing systems based on the PLC (programmable logic controller) since 1983, and in 1986 it produced its first SCADA system for data acquisition employed an Industrial Personal Computer.
In 1990 the company expanded and moved to its current modern site in Nerviano.
In 1997 OLMATIC was presented with an award for technological innovation by the Region of Lombardy.
